Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Purification

Containerize Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant

If you are looking to produce a truly crisp, clean, pure water, Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Technology will get you there. RO systems will find their way into drinking water production, desalanation, and boiler feedwater systems. Reverse Osmosis systems have the added advantage of being a positive stop to contaminants; not only are you getting clean water, you are taking the extra step to prevent any cross contamination.

High Quality Permeate. The Reverse Osmosis Membrane acts as a positive stop for all solids. They can even filter out large molecules like Uranium. With a Two Pass System, like the one pictured to the left, (designed for a mining venture in the mountains of South America), the Reverse Osmosis Technology will even remove Boron. This is very important when you face strict effluent restrictions. RO systems have one of the highest, most predictable permeate qualities of any water filtration purification technology. To get performance and life out of a Reverse Osmosis System, we pretreat the influent water to coarse clean it. As such, almost any water source will suffice.

Reverse Osmosis Water Purification will not remove all contaiminants, gasses for example, but are quite efficient with contaminants such as Trihalomethanes (THM's), some pesticides, solvents and other Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's).

Ultra Filtration (UF)

Ultrafiltration Membranes will remove particulates from water with up to a 4-Log reduction of coliform bacteria, producing potable water. There are various UF Membrane types, configurations and materials. Each will work best in certain environments. We will provide the best membrane for your specific requirements.

Micro Filtration (MF)

Microfilration is a standard in the water/wastewater industry. We incorporate it into every Reverse Osmosis system as a coarse pre-treatment to extend the life and effectiveness of the RO Membranes. MF is also a cornerstone of process water treatment. It economically and handily removes the Total Suspended Solids from a waste stream, and pretreats influent for both UF and RO systems. A good MF prefiltration system can allow an Ultra Filtration system to turn muddy water into drinking water, and an RO to take brackish well water or ocean water and create boiler feed quality.

Chemical Water Purification

There are numerous methods available for Chemical Water Purification. The most common industrial technologies are Chlorine, Chlorine Dioxide (CLO2), and Ozone. We can throw Ultraviolet (UV) into this mix; it is not chemical but it does kill bugs.

At Dynamic Machine Design, our preference is for the Water Purification Technology that works best in YOUR application and with YOUR process. Chlorine, for example, we would not use in the presence of any hydrocarbons as free Chlorine can produce chlorination by-products, chlorinated hydrocarbons, known as trihalomethanes.

  • Chlorine Dioxide is thus far safer to use than Chlorine.
  • The downside of Chlorine Dioxide is that it cannot be stored. We must produce it on site with a CLO2 Generator.
  • Ozone Water Purification: The most effective oxidizer is of course Ozone. It also is produced on site, and the Ozone Generator must be equipped with an Ozone Destroyer to prevent the release of excess Ozone to the environment.
  • Ultraviolet Water Purification uses light bulbs. These bulbs produce Ultraviolet light. They can be quite effective at killing bugs in the wastewater, but are subject to turbidity and depth of water. Unlike the Chemical Water Purification that mixes with the flow, UV is injected into the flow from the outside. The higher the turbidity, the thicker the wastewater stream, the less effective the technology.

Containerize water treatment plant

Water Reuse and Zero Discharge. The high quality effluent from an MF/UF/RO systems makes them ideal for incorporation into a zero liquid discharge or water reuse application in industry or agriculture. Process waste streams can be recycled into process feed streams. Processing plants can recover water, spend far less on municipal infeed, meet compliance, and not be paying to ship and dispose of water.

Dynamic Machine Design works with municipal, agricultural and industrial clients. So if you have a work camp, resort, golf course, a food processing plant, a nuclear reactor, an oil refinery , a farm, winery or dairy, we can help with all of your water and waste water requirements.

We provide full engineering and process design along with manufactured, equipment, systems and monitoring. We will design, build, test, install and commission your project, all to your specifications to meet your needs. We also offer packaged plants and containerized systems.
